YWAM Orlando is a family based community that provides a live-learn environment which naturally creates an atmosphere for deep learning. In 2 Peter we are told to add to our faith virtue or character and then add knowledge. We need character, skill and knowledge if we hope to effectively fulfill God's command to proclaim the Gospel to every person on the planet and to disciple all nations. YEAR LONG TRAINING PROGRAM Join our year-long training program designed to prepare you to change your world. This program is divided into two 5-month programs. The first is called the Discipleship Training School. The second is the School of Ministry and Evangelism. In both schools the first 3 months are spent in a classroom setting where the students are discipled and ministered to by a variety of excellent speakers. During the next 2 - 3 months students go on a "field assignment" living out what they've learned.

The Discipleship Training School (DTS) is a 5-6 month intensive training course. Its purpose is to ground Christians in their faith & to prepare them to be world changers for God! YWAM Orlando offers DTS schools in September, January, & April. The first 3 months are spent in classroom-type training. For the next 2-3 months students go on a "field assignment". The following topics are usually covered in a DTS training period: relationships with God & others, studying God's Word, hearing God's voice, personal character development, gaining God's heart for the lost & MORE! The SOMD helps equip people who believe God is calling them to serve Him in full-time ministry.   Paul writes in 2 Timothy 2:2  “And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable men who will also be qualified to teach others.”.  The SOMD will impart truth to you and teach you how to pass it on to others so God’s kingdom will expand. The Basic Leadership School (BLS) takes your natural leadership abilities and trains you to serve others as you lead. This training program is a great tool for anyone desiring to sharpen his or her leadership abilities and to understand Jesus' heart as a servant leader. The School of Missions (SOM) gives you the unique training you need to fulfill your calling to a foreign mission field. This school is designed to equip missionaries to go into the unreached areas well prepared for long-term cross-cultural missions.
