SHORT-TERM MISSION TRIPS

LOCAL & GLOBAL MISSION TRIPS FOR YOUTH & FAMILIES

YWAM Orlando short-term trips contain unique elements that, like camp, help teens and families grow closer with God and serve Him together. At the core, these trips are focused on evangelism and gaining a heart for missions, whether that's stateside or international. Teams receive quality training centered around strengthening their faith and equipping them to share the Gospel. Then they immediately put it into practice on outreach.

SHORT-TERM

A typical international trip is usually around fourteen days. Our stateside/local outreaches are tailored to be shorter experiences (one week), but include many of the same teaching and training elements as the international trips.

FULL-SERVICE

Our experienced staff cover all the bases - food, training, housing, transportation, outreach set-up, translation, supplies and everything else. If you are a youth leader bringing a youth group, we want to empower you by doing the leg work for you so that you can minister to your students!

MISSIONS TRAINING

You won’t go unprepared. We will equip you and your team with tools that have been proven to help you express the Gospel across cultures. Not only will we prepare your hands, but our training will prepare your hearts for all that God intends to do in and through your team!

OUTREACH

We will provide many opportunities to put your faith into action.
Teams get exposed to a wide variety of ministry opportunities, including mercy ministries and service projects, with a strong focus on evangelism.

UPCOMING TRIPS

FAMILIES

Some of the greatest memories children have are vacations and travel with parents, and even grandparents. A wonderful way to build a legacy as Christians is to go on mission trips with our children where we have the opportunity to work together to help alleviate suffering, distribute the Bible, share the Gospel and play together in a different culture with other Christians. These outreaches are designed for all ages to find their roles and participate fully. Our goal is for the family to become all that God created the family to be - for others and for each other.

YOUTH GROUPS

This experience is for groups of teens (and their leaders) like a church youth group or a senior class looking for an impactful short-term adventure. Every  trip includes teaching and training about missions, as well as teachings to strengthen the participant's faith. All the while, you will work with various service projects and christian ministries in the country you are ministering to.

TRIP DETAILS ARE COMING SOON.

Join us in 2019 as we team up with the Medical ship M/V Pacific Hope working on the island of Dominica, helping them recover from Hurricane Maria that devastated their small island in the fall of 2017. Our outreach will focus on evangelism, Bible distribution, occasional soccer, volleyball, kids games in the park and practical relief in the areas of food distribution, simple construction, and clean up. We will help the ship staff provide some basic medical services through medical and dental clinics and the possibility of visiting hospitals.

The March outreach is five intense days of ministry with a splash of recreation and nightly worship and teachings to help us understand better the character and nature of God. Join us for both weeks or just one in the spring. You are welcome to fly down or back with our staff from YWAM Orlando or make your own arrangements to fly into Dominica (DOM airport) where we will meet you at the airport. Transportation to/from the DOM airport is included in your fees.

The July outreach to Dominica consists of 2 days of training at YWAM Orlando (July 7-9), 14 days on the ship (July 10-24), and 2 days of debriefing back at YWAM Orlando (July 25-26).

Dominica is a small independent island with no larger country supplying aid to it. The need there is huge and the need is NOW! We will be doing most of the outreach around the beautiful, but devastated Island of Dominica. Bring a hammock to enjoy the Caribbean sky, a snorkel to enjoy the Caribbean sea, and a light rain coat to enjoy the rain forest in the high mountain range.  Most of our time will revolve around ministry to the people of Dominica, but we will have times of teaching, small groups and worship as well as these unique and super fun activities both on and off the ship and on the island.

All Dominica outreaches will stay on the ship where we will eat most of our meals and have most of our teaching. It is a great base of operations and a safe and secure place to regroup for ministry at the end of each day. Ship life is so refreshing and an adventure.

This year's trip promises to be even better than last year with more connections on the island and more ways to bless the people while bringing joy to God's heart.

Here is the opportunity for you and your family to share the Gospel while walking where Jesus walked. This trip is a unique combination of serving others while taking in the sights and spiritual experiences of the Holy Land. The trip is divided about half and half of ministry to others and sightseeing.
Our team will reach out to the Israelis and Palestinians, Jews and Muslims and Christians, secular and religious, immigrants and locals, refugees and nationals. You can experience and learn first-hand how to make a lasting impact on the people who live in the reality of this conflict by spending 12 life changing days in Jerusalem, Bethlehem and other areas in the Holy Land. You will be involved in service projects, medical assistance and maybe even a medical clinic, prayer gatherings in houses of prayer, prayer walks, worship on the sea of Galilee and opportunities to share your faith, visit and minister alongside long-term workers in the Middle East.
On previous trips we have visited "the upper room", communion at the "Garden Tomb", the "Mount of Beatitudes", sailed on the sea of Galilee, many chose to be baptized in the Jordan, prayed at the western or wailing wall and did the incredible tunnel tour under the western wall, toured the old city of Jerusalem, visited the "Tower of David" museum and experienced the laser light show on the history of the city of Jerusalem. We also walked or took the tram up to the mountain top fortress of Masada, swam and floated on the Dead Sea, toured Qumran, the discovery site of the dead sea scrolls. We have visited the ancient cities of Megido and Joppa (today Yafo) and played in Elijah's well in the oldest city, Jericho. We have visited the northern cities of Nazareth, Tiberias, Capernaum, and Tabgha. The Holocaust museum in Jerusalem is a somber yet incredible experience. Bethlehem with manger square, church of the nativity, Milk Grotto, Herodium, and the shepherds fields. We have yet to make it to Hebron or the Mount of Transfiguration or the Mount of Temptation, but this time we will try to fit them into the packed schedule.
On top of all the wonderful places to visit, we will also be reaching out and ministering to the people of the region while working with various local ministries. Our desire is to work with ALL the different peoples of the land. We have had wonderful ministry times with Russian immigrants, Somali refugees whom we fed and prayed with, and locals living on the streets. We have served in a soup kitchen and prayed on the beach with the people of Tel Aviv. We have met, played and prayed with children and parents from all over the Middle East through the ministry of Shevet Achim in Jerusalem. We have attended and even helped lead Palestinian house gatherings, a Russian speaking immigrant church and a large denominational Palestinian Christian church. We have been blessed to run or help run several medical clinics for Palestinians and we even got to paint a youth hostel run by Christians in Bethlehem.

Don't miss this opportunity for your family to serve and experience the Holy Land together. Contact us for the latest information on what may be a once in a lifetime experience for your entire family.

If you are interested in either one of these trips, please contact us and we will reach out to you shortly with more information! Please notate in the "comment" field what trip/program you are interested in.
